At the intersection of history and modernity

The Palestinian studio AAU Anastas has undertaken the restoration of a historic stone building in Bethlehem. The Dar al Majors project consists of several buildings, some of them were built in the 18th century. On the ground floor there will be galleries, shops and an immersive projection room, on the second floor there will be offices, on the third there will be a shared kitchen and a terrace.
Traditionally, such houses have a common central area called "hosh", where residents usually gathered, cooked and socialized, various events are planned here that will open up a new look at such a space.
Such projects are very inspiring, where modern architecture fits seamlessly into the historical relief of the city.
