Tea time

Shay bil Maramiya — a black tea with sage recipe, most popular in Palestine. It takes about 10 minutes to prepare.

The recipe is simple (for 5-6 servings): boil the water with 6 tablespoons of sugar for three minutes, remove from the heat and add dried sage leaves. Next, add three spoons of black tea and leave to infuse for five minutes. The tea should be amber-red in colour, a darker shade will indicate a bitter taste. A cup of this tea is a great option for finishing a meal, as it perfectly promotes digestion. Enjoy!
