Palestinian filmmaker Farah Nabulsi has been nominated for an Academy Award. Nabulsi’s “The Present” has been nominated for ‘Best Live Action Short Film’ at this year’s distinguished event.
The story unveils the struggles encountered by a resident of the Palestinian border as he tries to buy his wife a wedding Anniversary gift. To achieve this, he must overcome various checkpoints across Palestine’s West Bank. His eight-year-old daughter joins him on this difficult journey.
