Inspired by Palestine

A piece of watermelon has been one of the legendary symbols of the Palestinian resistance since 1967, when Israel took control of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
At that time, the Israeli authorities banned the Palestinian flag in these territories, making its public display a criminal offense.
In order to circumvent the ban, the Palestinians began to use a cut watermelon, because it has all the colors of the Palestinian flag - red, black, white and green.
After that, many artists around the world created watermelon works in support of Palestine.
